Micro Niche Finder

Okay, I've just found one of the neatest pieces of software ever. I've been using it non stop since I bought it. It's called Micro Niche Finder and it does exactly what it's entitled. You know when you're stumped for ideas, well this keeps the ideas rolling. Without actually showing you the benefits, it's hard to convey. So, I would click on one of the links and you'll go to a page which will lead you to another page with 4 or 5 videos on how this baby works. It's well worth the sixty something bucks. In a bit of a rush but wanted to share this little gem. One of the best purchases I've made all year. I wouldn't recommend it if I really didn't like it. Enjoy, til I post again

Make Money Online

So many ways to make money online. I came across a blog this morning that belongs to Mike Liebner. Very interesting stuff. Motivational too. It's truly a matter of taking the first step, which gets easier as the days go by. It's like a plane taking off, it uses a huge amount of fuel to do this but when it's at the right flying altitude etc., the pilot can cut back on the fuel consumption and do maintenance things. If the pilot wants more altitude, more fuel. Just like our careers as webpreneurs. I will be sticking to affiliate marketing for the time being, it's just a simpler road until I get the experience. This website builder (smart money websites)I've been promoting will be the first of many mini-sites as I believe it's easier to have 10 mini-sites making $300 each/month than to have one making $3000. The most vital part of the equation is targeted traffic. Case in point, I signed up with one of those sites that promise you lots of traffic if you click on other people's ads. Guess what? 1200+ visitors that day, no sign-ups and no sales. Very poor quality untargeted traffic, burdening the server for no reason! Till I post again, happy marketing.

Squidoo

I've just created a squidoo page. It's very interesting and I think it will help with search engine rankings. So go and make yourself one, if you haven't done so already. It's just like a blog but there's more stuff going on. Here's my Squidoo page http://www.squidoo.com/createincomeonline

Smart Money Websites

Well, on my quest for making an online business I've discovered many things and products you can buy. Some of them are junk, simply hype designed to take your money. Unfortunately, I think there's more junk out there than good products that actually deliver what's promised. The good news is this, I came across something that really makes it simple to set up an actual mini-site. I purchased it and within an hour I was up and running with a complete site, opt-in page, auto-responder and product to sell. It couldn't have been easier. At the risk of sounding like a commercial, here's what's offered: The complete site with all that I've mentioned, a 30 - 40 minute phone consultation, in case you need any assistance with the set up (I haven't used my call yet, but I am up and running), tons of tutorials and coaching and the ability to set up 3 or 10 sites, depending on which package you purchase. There's even a 14 day trial period, for $1.00, so you can test-drive it. If you don't like it, then all you've lost is the buck. It's truly a quick and easy solution for techno-phobes. I think it's the quickest solution to getting a web presence. Good luck and happy marketing.

Retirement Doesn't Mean Stop...

As a matter of fact in today’s technology driven world, for many, it can be a brand new start.

I remember when my Dad retired back in 1995 (sadly he passed away due to health issues), he worked for a large international company. There were actually a number of people retiring from that company in 1995. So the company brought in therapists, councilors and psychologists to help the new retirees deal with the trauma of going from the daily routine of work to the sedate and for some, a directionless new lifestyle. We’ve all heard the stories about “Joe Smith” who retired after 42 years of service and six months later he’s passed away. Tragic!

Well, today is a whole new ball game! We’ve got the internet (heck, my 81 year old Mom sends me e-mails every week). For some retirees it can be the start of a whole new career, making money online. As a matter of fact, in many cases it’s a chance for those folks to actually make more money than when they were employed in the offline world. There’s no question that the task of setting up a money-making web based business can seem daunting. From the website creation to the opt-in boxes, autoresponders and web-hosting, it can be very intimidating.

Some companies have recently addressed these issues in their products, making user-friendly website creation software (you don’t need to know html or php etc.), built-in autoresponders and the like. A business-in-a-box, if you will. These products are not designed around retirees but rather for all people who have a desire to have their own e-business but don’t have the technical background to create all this stuff from scratch. Without these new “all in one” packages the learning curve can be years long and cost $3000 and up!

However, like everything else that’s worthwhile you must put forth effort and dedicate yourself for 2 - 3 hours each day, a comfortable part-time pace. Set goals, make a plan, work the plan. Find a program or software bundle you like and stick with it. Don’t bounce around looking for the next best thing or “get rich quick” programs, because there aren’t any! Yes there are many snake-oil salesmen on the web. Beware of them and run fast in the other direction. You know the old adage “If it seems too good to be true…” Having said that, there are also a lot of good, honest and real people who are willing to share their knowledge to help you get going. You’ll find these people in marketing forums, blogs and various groups, amongst other venues.

Who knows, if my Dad was still here he would probably have something going on the internet. Maybe a “reviews site” on his hobbies, electronics or cameras. I think he would’ve enjoyed that. There is definitely business to be done after retirement and the web has made this simpler than ever before.

Yep, gone are the days when the internet wealth was reserved for a handful of techno-savvy computer-heads. There’s enough for everyone and it’s all within reach. Last year alone, billions of dollars were paid out to internet marketers in affiliate commissions and web-hosting. The internet pie is huge and growing so go out and take your slice, even if it’s a thin one it will be worth it!
